This impressive and flexible accommodation is ideal for two or three families, golfers, or a group of friends. The rustic but thoroughly well equipped house is made up of three parts – the main house, the garden casita (small house) and the courtyard casita.
The interior of Casa Ultima has been furnished to a very high standard. The spacious sitting room and adjoining dining area lead out to a wide shady terrace with gas BBQ, large solid wood table and chairs and lovely panoramic views, offering a choice of places to eat and relax.
The sitting room has large TV (with Sky enabling you to get UK TV channels), DVD, music system and wood burning stove. There are 2 large leather sofas, huge coffee table and seating for 8 around a large dining table. There is a further small sitting room and kitchenette in the garden casita, and a TV/DVD room in the courtyard casita.
The main house is host to two twin bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and separate shower room. The courtyard 'casita' has one twin bedroom and moroccon style bench seats in the TV room that convert into 4 small beds (ideal for 4 children or 2 adults).There is also a shower room with access from both rooms. The Garden 'casita' has two twin bedrooms and shower room.
The main kitchen is fully fitted in solid wood with smart stainless steel appliances; dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and coffee maker. There is also a modern kitchen with oven, hob,fridge freezer and microwave in the Garden Casita.
The pool is approx. 3 metres x 6 metres and is surrounded by child-proof railings. Alongside the pool area is a large shaded terrace area with table and chairs plus an array of comfortable and stylish wicker furniture. The garden is walled with a small area of lawn, and colourful flower beds.
At the rear of the house is a courtyard area with fishpond and sitting area which enjoys the morning sun. There is a wide terrace and a poolside patio area which enjoys 180 degree views over the Guadalhorce valley below. Below the garden wall is a well established ‘finca’ (orange grove) with approx. 50 mature orange, lemon, tangerine and clementine trees. The whole house and garden area is secure with high garden walls, and automatic metal gates at the entrance. There is a wide paved parking area which can fit 3 or 4 cars.
The Area
Alhaurin el Grande is a functional Spanish town, just beginning to attract tourism. It main industry still being almonds, tropical fruits and olive oil. It is situated in the Sierras de Mijas the area offers hill walking, horse riding, mountain biking and bird watching. Casa Ultima is situated just 5 minutes drive from the town, surrounded by stunning countryside and wonderful views. There are two golf course within a short drive of the villa Alhaurin Golf www.alhauringolf.com Lauro Golf www.laurogolf.com. The coastal towns of Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella are all within a short drive. Malaga is short drive away and has many interesting sites to visit. The newly opened Picasso museum, the cathederal, locally called 'the one armed lady' as one of its towers was never completed, the old Moorish fort of the Alcazaba, Castillo Gibralfaro. Or just walk around the old town with its narrow streets, and take in a few tapas at the many street bars or restaurants.The beautiful city of Ronda is also within striking distance and offers fantastic views from its cliff top perch. The bullring in Ronda is the oldest in Spain and tours are conducted daily.
